Mr. Corona-body

corona-virus

We have an intruder in our house

Creeping on the floors

We didn’t see him coming in

Since we shut all the doors

Anyone if runs with flu or fever

No other suspect but only he

Who is given a name as Mr. Corona-body

All of a sudden, it is he

Who takes away the sense of smell

And kills all the taste buds

From the body where he may dwell

Staying awake with the dry cough is the rent

That everyone would agree

To pay for living with Mr. Corona-body

If anyone amongst us is found sneezing

Is suggested to wear a mask

And to stay at a distance while

Sipping green tea from a flask

Washing hands even if they don’t seem dirty

By everybody you may see

In the company of Mr. Corona-body

We let him stay

Despite knowing his religion, language or nationality

We are bound to keep him as a guest

Though he has corroded everyone’s personality

We wish the time to come soon

To make ourselves free

By giving farewell to Mr. Corona-body
